Our History
Our Team pioneered in bringing safe fresh produce in supermarkets in 2008.
Melendres Farm was the first organic fresh produce supplier in SM Hypermarket. By 2012, Melendres Farm started supplying organic herbs, mushroom and specialty vegetables in 2012.
With the aim to help improve lives and a mission to develop farmer entrepreneurs, OrganicOptions, Inc. (OOI) was established in 2013, a marketing and distribution company for organic and naturally-grown produce, as a natural evolution from the original company Melendres Farm, to bridge small holder farms, the big supermarket retailers, and the consumers.
In collaboration with the Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), farmer cooperatives, OrganicOptions, Inc. used a combination of small holder and private farmer supply chain base to bring safe and fresh produce to consumers, setting better standards by providing partners with contracts, stable and higher prices than prevailing market prices, and increasing market demand.
By 2025, OOI partnered with about 300 small holder farmers in Luzon.
OUR BUSINESS TODAY
OOI grew faster through conquering more retail supermarket chains (presence in 20 stores in 2014 to more than 70 stores and over 40 institutional accounts in 2025).
Stores being supplied by OOI include SM Hypermarket, Robinsons, Shopwise, The Marketplace, Waltermart, Landers, Cash and Carry, Makati Supermart, Unimart, Merkado, South Supermarket, Pioneer Center Supermart and Mitsukoshi Fresh.
